14 giugno 2018 – Arriviamo a Oban per l’ora di pranzo e ci avventuriamo subito nel porto, anche perchè la città non è molto grande, abbiamo fame e piove.
Scorgiamo delle bancarelle che vendono panini di pesce e crostacei, e ci avventiamo.
Non potevamo fare scelta migliore visto che poco dopo stavamo mangiando una vaschetta di cozze senza dubbio tra le più buone della mia vita.
Granchi giganti appena pescati e ancora vivi si ammassavano in cassette, pronti per essere cotti e messi in qualche panino Probabilmente nel nostro.
Giretto in città con visita all’anfiteatro che sorge sulla collina e poi di nuovo in auto.
Lungo la strada, lunghissima e piena di stanchezza, avvistiamo le Falls of Falloch che dalle indicazioni parevano cascate maestose e imponenti e invece si rivelarono essere un piccolo salto di qualche metro. Molto belle e meritevoli comunque.
E poi via verso Glasgow, questa volta senza più pause e in cerca di una cena decente.
Nel frattempo smette anche di piovere.
14 June 2018 – We arrive at Oban for lunch time and immediately venture into the port, also because the city is not very big, we are hungry and it rains. We notice some stalls selling fish and shellfish sandwiches, and we venture. We couldn’t have made a better choice since shortly afterwards we were eating a tub of mussels without a doubt among the best mussels of my life. Giant crabs freshly caught and still alive were piled up in boxes, ready to be cooked and put in some sandwiches probably in ours. I went to town with a visit to the amphitheatre on the hill and then back to my car. Along the road, very long and full of tiredness, we see the Falls of Falloch that from the indications looked like majestic and imposing waterfalls and instead turned out to be a small jump of a few meters. Very beautiful and deserving anyway. And then off to Glasgow, this time without any more breaks and in search of a decent dinner. Meanwhile it stopped raining.
