14 giugno 2018 – Si avvicinava così la fine di questo fantastico tour.
Ancora increduli per la bellezza di questo paese, partivamo per quello che sarebbe stato l’ultimo giorno lungo le strade scozzesi. Ad un certo punto avremmo imboccato l’autostrada e saremo tornati al solito ambiente pieno di presenza umana.
Salutavamo le Highlands, con la silenziosa speranza di tornarci, un giorno.
Dopo una riposante notte a Ballaculish, nonostante la pioggia e la volontà della mia compagna, andammo a Glencoe, ma riuscimmo a fare solo un breve giro in un parco attrezzato e sotto la pioggia.
Niente hiking selvaggio quindi.
Presa l’auto, lungo il percorso, in mezzo a uno degli innumerevoli laghi, ci apparse il castello di Stalker, e ci fermammo a fotografarlo. Anche qui pioggia e vento fortissimo la facevano da padroni.
E poi via, verso Oban.
14 June 2018 – So the end of this fantastic tour was approaching. Still incredulous about the beauty of this country, we set off for what would be the last day along the Scottish streets. At a certain point we would take the highway and we would be back to our usual man-made environment. We said goodbye to the Highlands, with the silent hope of one day returning. After a restful night in Ballaculish, despite the rain and the will of my companion, we went to Glencoe, but we only managed to take a short ride in a well-equipped park and in the rain. No wild hiking then. We took the car, along the way, in the middle of one of the countless lakes, the castle of Stalker appeared to us, and we stopped to photograph it. Here, too, rain and strong winds were the order of the day. And then off to Oban.
