24-25-26 giugno – Il mattino del 24 ci aspetta il trasferimento verso l’isola di Hvar, e qui ben 3 giorni di dolce far niente. Carichiamo il Compass e partiamo di buon mattino, sfidando il traffico che come noi si dirige a Spalato per prendere il traghetto.
C’è un traffico che eccede le mie aspettative, ma, con un po’ di adrenalina in corpo, arriviamo in orario.
E’ la mia seconda esperienza con il traghetto, e star per mare è sempre una bella sensazione.
Sbarchiamo così nell’isola di Hvar e ci dirigiamo sulla sponda opposta, precisamente a Lesina, dove abbiamo il nostro appartamento che ci attende.
Il secondo giorno, visto che l’obiettivo era quello di riposarci tutti e due (anzi tutti e tre), ci svegliamo alle 4 di mattina e ce ne andiamo in giro a far foto dell’alba, e del sole che sbuca dal mare e che crea tutti quei colori tipici dell’alba: l’arancione, il viola e l’azzurro…
Dopo aver fatto le foto, troviamo una baia niente male, un piccolo golfo che ha dell’incredibile, sembra quasi la location di un film.
Certo per arrivarci bisogna affrontare l’equivalente di un’escursione in montagna, e per giunta con le infradito, ma è un posto idilliaco dove prendere il sole e nuotare nell’incantevole acqua che c’è qua in Croazia.
Che in realtà è la stessa che c’è da noi in Italia, ma che qua è più bella: chi dice per il fondo fatto di sassi e non di sabbia, chi dice perchè le correnti girano in senso antiorario portando le acque pulite in Croazia.
Io, mentre queste domande mi affollano la mente, mi ci tuffo e mi ci nuoto.
La mattina dopo non può mancare un giretto anche nella “Città Vecchia”, ovviamente di mattina presto, per avere la luce migliore, e sempre perchè siamo qui per riposarci.
E’ questo un paesino con il porto e i pescatori e, anche qui, con le case di sasso e le callette quasi in stile veneziano.
Che bella la costa dalmata.
Poi qui purtroppo accade anche un fattaccio, e perdo irrimediabilmente i miei occhiali.
Per fortuna ne avevo un paio di scorta, ma ci resto parecchio male, perchè erano gli occhiali con cui mi ero sposato.
Quasi mi rovino le ferie.
Alla fine di tutti per celebrare anche questa parte di viaggio, facciamo un giretto serale a Lesina, dove non può mancare una cenetta di pesce.
La moglie invece non prende il pesce e io non me ne capacito.
Qualche foto notturna con la mia Olympus, e poi a casa che domani si parte di nuovo e c’è un altro traghetto che non si può perdere per tornare sulla terraferma.
24-25-26 June – On the morning of the 24th, the transfer to the island of Hvar awaits us, and here 3 days of total relaxation. We load the Compass and leave early in the morning, braving the traffic that, like us, heads to Split to take the ferry.
So we disembark on the island of Hvar and head to the opposite shore, precisely in Hvar, where we have our apartment waiting for us.
On the second day, since the goal was to rest both of us (indeed all three), we wake up at 4 in the morning and go around taking pictures of the sunrise, and of the sun coming out of the sea and which creates all those typical colors of dawn: orange, purple and blue.
After taking the photos, we find a bay that is not bad, a small gulf that is incredible, it almost looks like the location of a movie.
Of course, to get there you have to face the equivalent of a hike in the mountains, but it is an idyllic place to sunbathe and swim in the enchanting water that is here in Croatia.
The next morning you cannot miss a ride in the “Old Town”, obviously early in the morning, to have the best light, and always because we are here to rest.
This is a village with a port and fishermen and, even here, with stone houses and narrow streets almost in Venetian style.
What a beautiful Dalmatian coast.
At the end of all to celebrate this part of the journey, we take an evening stroll to Lesina, where a fish dinner cannot be missed.
The wife, however, does not take the fish and I do not understand.
A few night photos with my Olympus, and then at home tomorrow we leave again and there is another ferry that cannot be missed.
