2 giugno 2018 – Per i festeggiamenti della festa della Repubblica Italiana, quest’anno, siamo stati sulle sponde del Lago del Mis. Trattasi di un bacino d’acqua artificiale incastonato nell’omonima valle, vicino al bellunese. E’ un luogo che a me è sempre piaciuto, fin da quando ci andavo per le prime gite adolescenziali.
Qui al Lago del MIs ci sono zone dove si può stare tranquilli a fare dei picnic in riva al lago, e poi a poche centinaia di metri troviamo i “cadini del Brenton”, catini naturali formatisi a causa della roccia calcarea sulla quale l’acqua ha avuto facile vittoria; e la “Cascata della Soffia”, sotto la quale, invece, si narra esserci un mondo fatto di grotte e ponticelli naturali, accessibili solo quando il livello del lago è molto basso.
Non meno importante, ovviamente, l’osteria che sorge poco prima di arrivare alla cascata, dove abbiamo potuto ristorarci beati, godendo dei prodotti visibili nell’ultima foto.
Naturalmente pioveva, e, mentre la cascata la siamo riusciti a vedere ugualmente, per i cadini ci toccherà il sacrificio di tornare un’altra volta.

June 2, 2018 – For the celebrations of the feast of the Italian Republic, this year, we have been on Lake Mis. This is an artificial lake set in the homonymous valley, near the Belluno area, it is a place that I have always liked, since I went there for the first teenage outings.
There are areas where you can rest assured to have picnics by the lake, and then a few hundred meters are the “cadini del Brenton”, natural basins formed due to the limestone rock on which the water has had easy victory; and the “Cascata della Soffia”, under which, instead, it is said to be a world made of caves and natural bridges, accessible only when the level of the lake is very low.
No less important, of course, the tavern that rises just before arriving at the waterfall, where we were able to refresh ourselves, enjoying the products visible in the last photo.
Of course it was raining, and while we were able to see the waterfall equally, for the cadini we will have the sacrifice to go back another time.
The photos were taken regardless of the rain with my Pentax and 18-135, both waterproof.
